Bread for the City Urban Orchard Planting at Beltsville, MD

April 14, 2012 from 9am to 1pm
Volunteers will be doing behind the scenes work, prepping for registration, helping to register volunteers for the planting event, moving tools to planting sites, filling and distributing water buckets, facilitating the planting event, etc.The orchard is Bread for the City's way to work around the high cost of produce and supply fresh fruits to local families in need.And it's a great opportunity to teach people about nutrition, urban agriculture, and the benefits of growing food.  Read more at:…See More
